In order to submit one or more abstract, you first need to log-in or create an account on this website.

  

Guidelines for preparation of abstracts

1) Abstracts may only be submitted online and in English. Abstracts submitted by email will not be accepted.

2) As the purpose of the meeting is to share a broad spectrum of CDH-focused investigation, submission of previously presented work is acceptable.

Further, work that is concomitantly being submitted to another meeting is acceptable.

Work that is published (in print) at the time of abstract submission should NOT be submitted.

 

3) If you wish to submit an abstract to present your work, please indicate the theme that best fits your work (multiple topics can be selected if needed):

  • Fetus with CDH
  • The diaphragm
  • The heart
  • The lungs
  • The brain
  • Nutrition and feeding
  • Non-isolated CDH
  • Personalized family support

4) In the title description:

 a) you may provide an indication of the nature of the investigation:

  • basic sciences
  • translational study
  • clinical study
  • observational study
  • Humanities ans socila sciences
  • Organisation of care
  • Quality improvement
  • Professional training and education

b) you may provide a short title of the presented work.

c) Example of the expected format for the title description: << Basic Science // My title >>

The abstract text:

May not be longer than 300 words including spaces.

Background and goals of the study should appear clearly to the reader. The methods and results must contain data, and the conclusions should be clearly expressed.

All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in your text exept for CDH which stands for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. 

Use generic drug names.

A maximum of 2 files (tables, charts or other graphics) can be attached to the abstract.

 

5) The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the symposium.

6) If your abstract has been accepted as e-poster presentation, you will be asked to prepare a poster in electronic format (ePoster). Guidelines will follow based on acceptance of your abstract. Presenting authors will present their posters in e-poster sessions during the symposium.

7) A selected number of abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation based on their scientific merits and on their relation to the topics addressed in the scientific programme of the symposium. We therefore encourage submissions on the main topics covered in the scientific programme.

 

Notification

Each abstract will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts will be sent to the corresponding authors via email in December 2023 or January 2024. Full instructions concerning preparation and presentation will be included.
